Guide
Add tado° X to a house that already has V3+ and you end up with two systems: the tado° app keeps the generations apart. Apple Home can put them back in one place.
tado° X isn't compatible with the earlier tado° devices, so the two can't share a Home in the tado° app. tado° asks you to create a separate Home for each product line. Both can sit in the same tado° account, but they stay two Homes, and nothing copies settings from one to the other. In practice that means switching between two Homes — and sometimes two accounts — to heat one house.
The Home app then shows every room together, and Siri can set any of them.
Installation, firmware updates, schedules and anything to do with your tado° account stay in the tado° app, in each of the two Homes.
This is the house Tepi was written for. It shows every room from both generations — and from more than one tado° account — in one list, with the same controls, so the generation becomes a small label rather than a second app. Room groups and Comfort and Eco for the whole house work across both. Sign in to each tado° account (optional) for V3+ history, battery and firmware for every device, and seeing and changing each room's tado° schedule.

No. One tado° account can hold both Homes. If you already have two, Tepi takes both.
Not automatically: tado° has no function to copy settings between product lines, so the X Home is set up by hand.
