Your tado° schedules

See each room’s tado° schedule as a week, on V3+ and tado° X, and change it: move a time, split a block, set a temperature, copy a week to other rooms. Nothing reaches tado° until you press Save. Tepi says first how many of tado°’s daily requests it will use, checks afterwards that tado° kept exactly what you saved, and keeps earlier versions so a change can be undone. Turn it on in Settings → Tepi Assist → Schedules, with Show or Edit; it needs your tado° account.

  • Tepi tells you when a room’s schedule has been paused for more than a day by a temperature set by hand, and where to resume it.
  • With Suggestions on, Tepi can notice when what you set by hand keeps disagreeing with a room’s schedule, and offer a change. It never makes it on its own.

A fresh look

Room cards that show what each room is doing at a glance, a room screen that leads with the temperature you’re setting, Devices with what needs attention first, and the same on Apple Watch.

Also

  • Tepi Assist has its own button on the Rooms screen, and a line there when something needs a look.
  • Removing a room or a group removes it from Siri’s suggestions too.
  • Long room names and large text sizes wrap instead of being cut off.
  • Each room shows its Home app room under its name.
  • See at a glance which firmware version each device runs: Devices shows it on every device, with a summary per type of device at the top.
  • A Home app room that seems to hold devices from more than one tado° room is locked until it’s sorted, and a tado° room that appears twice in Tepi says so, with a way to hide one.

Tepi Assist (experimental)

Optional help that notices things and offers, and never acts on its own; off until you turn it on.

  • Presence: a reminder to set the house to Eco when you leave, and to hand it back to its tado° schedule when you come back.
  • Suggestions: learned on your iPhone from what you usually do, offered at the right moment.
  • Outdoor temperature, if you switch it on: suggestions before a cold evening, from Apple Weather.

Apple Watch, Siri and Shortcuts

An Apple Watch app with your rooms, names and order: turn the Digital Crown to set a room. “Set the heating to Eco with Tepi”, and any room or group in a shortcut.

Four more languages

Dutch, French, Italian and Spanish, as well as English and German.

  • The Devices tab shows how many devices need attention, instead of a notification.

1.0.4

September 2026

  • tado° X paired straight to Apple Home now shows up: each room once, however many thermostats and sensors it has, and a change goes to all of them.
  • Room groups, like Upstairs or Bedrooms: off, Comfort, Eco, one temperature, or back to the tado° schedule in one tap.
  • Quick actions: press and hold the icon for All off, Comfort, Eco and Resume schedules.
  • Fixes a bug that could sign you out of tado° after a while, a crash while changing a temperature, and a Rooms screen that could come back blank.
  • Whole-house actions show their progress; sensor-only rooms are shown as read only.
  • Tepi shows only tado° devices, and won’t change a room it can’t confirm is tado° until you link it.

1.0.3

September 2026

  • Comfort and Eco: two temperatures you set once, then send to the whole house with one tap.
  • Link a room to tado° by hand when its name differs between tado° and Apple Home, so it gets its history and battery reading.
  • Tepi tells you when it finds a heating device it can’t read yet, shows what Apple Home reports about it, and can put that in a report.
  • A short record of what Tepi did, for support messages. It never leaves your phone unless you attach it.

1.0.2

September 2026

  • V3+ devices are named by their room in Devices, instead of by device type.
  • Firmware says where it came from: HomeKit’s version or tado°’s.
  • A heating device Tepi can’t read is no longer reported as no device at all.

1.0.1

September 2026

  • A welcome screen that explains why Tepi asks for Home access before iOS does, with the demo home as the other way in.
  • A suggestion in Rooms of what a tado° account would add, until you add one.
  • Reset all Tepi data asks before it clears anything.
  • Room search ignores accents.
