Tapping Send feedback opens your own mail app with a message addressed to hello@tepiapp.com. Before it does, Tepi offers to attach a short technical summary: the app and iOS version, your iPhone's model identifier (for example “iPhone15,3”), how many rooms you have and how many are hidden, which tado° generations and how many are behind a bridge, how many tado° accounts are linked, when the last cloud sync happened, and the last error message the app showed you.
That attachment is switched off unless you switch it on, it is shown to you word for word on the screen where you turn it on, and the choice is not remembered for next time. It contains no names, addresses, locations, serial numbers or room names — room names are removed from the error line before it is attached. You can still edit or delete any of it in your mail app before sending.
If you send it, that email arrives in an ordinary mailbox and is kept only as long as it takes to answer you and fix what you reported. It is never used for anything else, never shared, and never used to build any profile of you. Ask at any time and it will be deleted.
In App Store terms this is declared as diagnostic data collected for app functionality. It is declared as linked to you, because it arrives in an email with your address on it — not because Tepi has any account or identity for you. It is never used for tracking.
Tepi does not use your location. This version asks for no location permission at all — it doesn't declare one, so iOS will never prompt you for it and Tepi could not read your location if it tried.
An earlier plan had an away/home automation that would have needed it. That feature isn't in this release, so the permission that went with it isn't either. If it ever ships, this page will be updated before that version does, and iOS will ask you then.
Tepi is a household utility and is not directed at children. It asks for nothing about the person using it, and the only information that can reach the developer is a support email somebody chose to write.
The developer holds nothing about you unless you have written to support, in which case it is that email and whatever you chose to put in it. Write to hello@tepiapp.com and it will be deleted. To remove what Tepi has stored on your device — including your tado° sign-in — use Settings → Reset all Tepi data, then delete the app. Deleting the app on its own removes its files and settings, but iOS has never promised that it clears an app's Keychain entries, and your tado° credentials live there. The reset removes them explicitly.
If a future version of Tepi ever changes how data is handled, this page will be updated before that version ships, and material changes will be noted in the App Store release notes.
